What is cPanel?
A cPanel is a web application or control panel for managing a domain host or website server. It makes it easier for average technical people, with no coding experience, to create and manage domains and subdomains, emails, databases as well as install web applications such as WordPress blogs, e-commerce websites, forums and more.
There are other control panels such as Plesk, DirectAdmin, and others. However, cPanel seems to be the most popular. As such, most hosting plans come with the cPanel as a standard option. However, if you prefer to use a different control panel, or simply use the command line, you could look for a plan that ships without a control panel.
